My name is TJ, and I'm a Recognized LEGO® Fan Media Ambassador and life-long LEGO fan! A few years ago, I started to realize that my LEGO Collection was growing out of control. I kept running out of space for my new builds and sets, and was always stressing about where the next one would go. Even after moving to a new house and getting the dream "LEGO Room," I still ran out of space eventually. That was when I realized something needed to change.

Luckily, I am a licensed mental health therapist. So I started applying the skills I used with clients every day to my LEGO collection, to understand what was going on. Once I figured out the problem, the solution was obvious, but it seemed backwards to what almost everyone else in the AFOL community was suggesting. I needed to curate my display with more intentionality and selectivity, rather than just amassing a bigger and bigger collection. I learned that more is not always better. I needed to do less, but do it better.

That's what I can teach you. By taking advantage of my unique combination of LEGO fandom and my education/professional background in mental health, I've found the "secret sauce" to having a LEGO collection that brings you back to the joy of the hobby and never runs out of space, without having to buy new shelves or move to a bigger home.
